ايا عبد كم يراك الله عاصيا
o'my soul, for how long will Allah see you sinning
حريصا على الدنيا وللموت ناسيا
living for the Dunya and death you are forgetting

living for the Dunya and death you are forgetting
انسيت لقاء الله واللحد والثرى
have you forgotten your future meeting with Allah, the grave, the dust
ويوما عبوسا تشيب منه النواصيا
and a hatd day that will whiten the hair of the young
لو أن المرء لم يلبس ثيابا من التقى
if man didn't wear clothes sown from piety
تجرد عُريانا ولو كان كاسيا
it is as if he's fully naked even if he was fully dressed
ولو دامت الدنيا لاهلها
and if this life lasted for enyone
لكان رسول الله حيا وباقيا
then Rasool Allah would be still alive
ولكنها تفنى ويفنى نعيمها
But life and it's adornments fade away
وتبقى الذنوب والمعاصي كما هي
and sins pile up and stay with us
تعفو الملوك حين النزول بساحتهم
Kings forgive people when they enter the palace hall
كيف النزول بساحة الرحمنِ
How will it be then when we stand before the the Most Merciful

يامن اذا وقف المسيء ببابه
O'Lord when the sinner comes at you door
ستر القبيح وجاد بالإحسانِ
You would hide his uglinness (sins) and show mercy
وأنا المسيء وقد عصيتك سيدي
And I'm the ugly one and I sinned my Lord
تعفو وتصفح للعبيد الجاني
Will you fogive this helpless sinner

يأيها الأحباب إني راحل
O'my loved ones I will be gone
مهما يطول عمري فإني فاني
It doesn't matter how long I live,
for sooner or later death will claim me
أنا إن بكيت فلن ألام على البكى
if I cry I won't be blame,
فلطالما استغرقت في العصيان
for I indeed spent a lot of my time sinning

يا واحداً في ملكه ماله ثاني
O'my Lord you the one and only with no partners in his kingdom
يامن إذا قلت يامولاي لباني
Your the one who when I say "O'my helper"
He gracefully comes and heps me

I disobey you and you hide my sins from the crowds
أنساك تذكرني
I forget you and you remember me
فكيف أنساك يامن لست تنساني
So how can I forget you the one who never forgets me
